My Work Experience

I have been working for over 4 years and like both of my jobs. I have learned a lot and hope to learn even more.  I also hope to learn a new job and continue to grow professionally.  It's important to never stop looking for a job.

Marshalls Department Store in Queens

I started working at Marshalls as a merchandise floor associate on June 16 2010.  I really like working at Marshalls and like my co-workers and my manager.

When I arrive at work, I look at the bulletin board to see which department I am working in.  Once I am in that department, I check the clothes to make sure they have tags.  I also make sure that the hangers all have the correct size keeders.   Once I have checked everything, I inform my manager if we are missing any tags or keeders. This makes work easier more Marshalls, but also makes shopping better for the customers.

Marshalls Work History

I became a Salitillo Ambassador in November 2011.  I use a ChatPC device to communicate with people.

As an ambassador, I was chosen to travel to a conference in Chicago.  While in Chicago, I went to the Assistive Technology Industry Association Conference with Karen, my Saltillo representative.  At the conference, I used my Saltillo Touch Chat PC to present to the people attending the conference.  Here is a link to the details from the ATIA Conference in 2011.
